On the 15th, Yoon stated on his Facebook, "The new government must end division and conflict and open an era of national unity," adding, "Violent politics that blindly repeat political revenge or clearing out deep-rooted evils must no longer continue."
Yoon said, "Political revenge is a bad habit of Korean politics that divides the people and makes them unhappy," and added, "If the previous administration made mistakes, the focus should be on reforming the system that caused those mistakes and innovating it to meet the people's expectations. We must stop the vicious cycle of revenge politics and practice inclusive politics."
Yoon emphasized 'unity.' He explained, "We must reunify the people as one, so that new conservatism and new progressivism can sprout and compete on that foundation," and "Only then can Korea overcome past mistakes and move toward a hopeful future."
