Gwangju City Appeals to Practice '3 Major Areas of Daily Quarantine Rules'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Metropolitan City earnestly appealed for the practice of the ‘3 Major Sector-Specific Living Quarantine Rules.’
On the 15th, Park Nam-eon, Director of the Citizen Safety Office of Gwangju City, requested adherence to quarantine rules at home, workplace, and social activities through a ‘Public Appeal’ related to COVID-19 response.
Director Park said, “In case a cohabitant tests positive, thorough spatial separation is necessary to prevent transmission among family members,” and added, “Since infection can also spread through contact with objects, please frequently disinfect doorknobs, handles, remote controls, etc., with disinfectant wipes to maintain strict hygiene.”
He also emphasized, “If any cohabitant shows symptoms such as cold or flu, please isolate at home and have all family members conduct rapid antigen tests on their own,” and “Opportunities for face-to-face contact with others, private gatherings, and visits to multi-use facilities should also be minimized as much as possible.”
He continued, “At the workplace, minimize face-to-face meetings and reports, and use video or telephone meetings whenever possible,” and “If face-to-face reporting is unavoidable, it is also necessary to secure a safe reporting distance.”
Furthermore, he stressed, “Please refrain from handshakes when greeting at various meetings and events, and always wear masks indoors and outdoors where two or more people gather. Masks are the best quarantine measure in daily life.”
He added, “Anyone with even slight suspicious symptoms should visit the nearest respiratory clinic, designated respiratory medical institution, or screening clinic to receive expert rapid antigen or PCR tests, and if positive, immediately undergo appropriate treatment.”
