On the same day, Kwon appeared on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' and said, "I think Prosecutor General Kim should decide his own position." Kim's term lasts until May next year.
He said, "Whether Prosecutor General Kim has properly directed investigations as the head so far, especially regarding the Daejang-dong and Baekhyeon-dong cases, although he said not to worry during the last National Assembly audit, there have been no results," adding, "Almost no citizens believe the prosecution is properly handling the Daejang-dong investigation."
Kwon said, "If the Prosecutor General truly has the determination, confidence, and will to investigate fairly and impartially according to law and principles regardless of his position, he should complete his term. But if he lacks that confidence and repeats the same behavior as before, I personally think he should decide his own position," adding, "President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol will not pressure or urge him to resign."
He also expressed the view that former President Lee Myung-bak should be pardoned during the Moon Jae-in administration's term. Kwon said, "Former President Park Geun-hye was pardoned, but not former President Lee Myung-bak, who is older and has a lighter sentence. I see this as another form of political retaliation," adding, "This is an issue that the president should decide on before leaving office."

Comparing the already pardoned former Presidents Park and Lee, he said, "There is absolutely no reason to treat them differently," adding, "In fact, President Lee is older and has a lighter sentence." Kwon also speculated that former Governor Kim Kyung-soo of Gyeongnam, who is currently imprisoned, and former President Lee would be pardoned simultaneously. He said, "For whom did former Governor Kim commit such election law violations? Wasn't it for President Moon's election? I think they will be pardoned together."
