Ministry of Unification Reiterates Call for North Korea to Immediately Cease Tension-Provoking Actions
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] On the 15th, the Ministry of Unification once again urged North Korea to "stop provocative acts" and respond to dialogue.
When asked by reporters that day about the likelihood of North Korea actually conducting an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch or nuclear test, a Ministry of Unification official did not give a direct answer but stated, "North Korea must immediately cease unilateral provocative acts that go against peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and do not help the development of inter-Korean relations."
He continued, "North Korea should respond by coming onto the path of dialogue and cooperation, as repeatedly proposed by us and the international community."
