Chosun University Produces 173 Successful Candidates in Secondary Teacher Certification Exam
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Chosun University announced on the 14th that it produced 173 successful candidates in the 2022 secondary school teacher employment examination.
According to information compiled from city and provincial education offices nationwide, the number of successful candidates by subject was highest in Special Education with 52, followed by Mathematics with 16, Korean Language with 15, Physical Education and Nutrition with 12, Earth Science with 11, and Health with 8. This shows that successful candidates were evenly produced across all subjects.
To support applicants for this secondary school teacher employment examination, Chosun University operated various programs at the university headquarters level. In particular, close guidance programs including 1:1 teaching demonstration consulting appeared to be effective.
Chosun University conducted student-led study groups for major exam preparation, provided 1:1 individual essay correction guidance through special lectures on educational theory essays, and systematically carried out close guidance for second-round successful candidates such as 1:1 teaching demonstration consulting with in-service teachers, practice in writing teaching and learning plans, and in-depth interview consulting.
Additionally, special lectures inviting in-service teachers to enhance prospective teachers' understanding of the school field received positive responses from enrolled students.
Chosun University has shown a rising number of teacher passers each year. Following 110 successful candidates in 2019, 127 in 2020, and 133 last year, this year it produced 173 successful candidates.
