Booyoung Group Provides 500 Million KRW and 300 Apartments for Emergency Support to Wildfire Victims in Gangwon (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] Booyoung Group is donating funds to aid wildfire victims on the East Coast and is urgently providing 300 apartment units for disaster victims to use as temporary shelters.
According to industry sources on the 14th, Booyoung Group will provide 300 Booyoung apartment units through the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's emergency housing project and donate 500 million KRW to the National Disaster Relief Association for recovery efforts in the affected areas.
The apartments urgently provided for disaster victims include 70 units of Booyoung Apartments located in Gangneung and 230 units located in Donghae, totaling 300 units. All of these apartments are currently being prepared for sale.
Booyoung Group plans to support disaster victims to move in as soon as they identify the demand and select the beneficiaries.
A Booyoung Group representative stated, "We hope this will help the wildfire victims quickly return to their daily lives."
Meanwhile, Booyoung Group has consistently taken the lead in support and donations whenever domestic or international disasters occur. During the 2017 Pohang earthquake, they provided 52 Booyoung apartment units to victims who lost their homes, and during the 2019 wildfires in the Gangwon region, they expressed their intention to support 224 apartment units for disaster victims, contributing to the reconstruction of affected areas.
