KGC Insamgongsa Launches 'CheongKwanJang HongSamTon Gold Eco Package'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KGC Ginseng Corporation announced on the 14th that it will launch the 'Hongsamton Gold Eco Package.'
The Hongsamton Gold Eco Package is a neat package made from eco-friendly paper, reducing the use of packaging materials. It is a product that enhances convenience by allowing the pouch to be taken out and stored separately.
It also features the use of recycled paper certified by FSC, reducing the use of natural materials such as wood. FSC certification is a forest management certification system established by the non-profit organization Forest Stewardship Council, awarded to paper and products produced in a sustainable manner.
The Hongsamton Gold Eco Package uses soybean oil instead of oil-based ink. Soybean oil ink decomposes naturally and easily, produces less carbon than typical oil-based ink, making it easier to separate paper and ink and aiding recycling.
KGC Ginseng Corporation stated that with the launch of this eco package, based on sales of 100,000 sets, it can reduce packaging materials by up to 10 tons. This is equivalent to saving 170 trees based on the amount of pulp obtained from one 30-year-old tree.
