On the afternoon of the 13th, President-elect Yoon held a press conference at the People Power Party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, stating, "We will serve the people properly as the owners with a capable and competent government and achieve national unity."
Regarding the appointment of Ahn as chairman of the transition committee, President-elect Yoon explained, "After the election, I requested and he voluntarily took the position. Ahn also has the will to lead the transition committee, and I judged him to be the right person."
He continued about Vice Chairman Kwon, "As you know well, Representative Kwon demonstrated capable and stable leadership during the recent election process with his rich legislative experience and expertise. I believe he will successfully lead the government transition work together with Chairman Ahn."
