SSG.com, Grand Reopening Event 'Brand New Shinsegae'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] SSG.com is holding an event featuring unprecedented discount benefits, exclusive brands, and differentiated shopping content to celebrate the revamp of the ‘Shinsegae Department Store Mall (hereafter Department Store Mall).’
SSG.com announced on the 13th that it will run the ‘Brand New Shinsegae’ promotion, a one-week event from the 14th to the 20th, to commemorate the renewal of the Department Store Mall.
The event is characterized by maximizing the fun of shopping by offering discount coupons for all customers, a draw (lottery) event, exclusive brands only available on SSG.com, and introducing features that provide a vivid shopping experience for the first time.
First, starting at midnight every day, three 12% discount coupons applicable to Department Store Mall products will be issued to all customers. Discounts of up to 10,000 KRW are available for purchases over 30,000 KRW. Additionally, when paying with affiliated cards registered on SSG Pay, such as Samsung, Hyundai, Kookmin, and Shinhan, customers can receive an additional billing discount of up to 7%.
Also, a ‘Lucky Draw’ lottery event will be held, where winning customers can receive an Apple ‘iPad Pro (11-inch)’ or Nike’s popular sneakers, the ‘SB Dunk Low Pro Chicago’ model. Any SSG.com customer can enter, and customers who purchase at least one Shinsegae Department Store product during the event period will have a higher chance of winning.
Meanwhile, around the time of this Department Store Mall revamp, SSG.com will also introduce a large number of luxury, fashion, beauty, and household brands that were previously only available at Shinsegae Department Store locations.
Notably, the Swiss furniture brand ‘USM,’ famous for being the world’s first modular furniture, will be sold exclusively for the first time in the e-commerce industry. All USM products can be purchased at a 10% discounted price, and special edition items such as cream and khaki-colored storage cabinets and nightstands will be delivered and installed within two weeks upon order. Other brands such as ‘Albow,’ ‘Dellarana,’ ‘Rick Owens,’ ‘V&A,’ and ‘Decave’ will also be available with special entry benefits.
A payback event will also be held, where customers receive a portion of the purchase amount back as SSG Money, which can be used like cash, when buying from newly introduced brands. Customers complete participation by purchasing over 200,000 KRW from brands marked with the ‘Newly Introduced Brand’ banner and clicking the ‘Apply’ button on the event page. Customers who meet the event conditions will receive 10,000 KRW in SSG Money on the 29th.
The ‘Try-On’ service, which gives the feeling of visiting a store to try on or apply products, is also notable. Fashion and beauty brands such as ‘Hugo Boss,’ ‘Helen Kaminski,’ ‘Bobbi Brown,’ and ‘La Bruket’ are included. To convey the unique features of the products, such as materials and details, in a three-dimensional way, professional models demonstrate the products in videos.
