Hyundai Glovis Urgently Transports Relief Supplies to Wildfire-Affected Areas in Gangwon and Gyeongbuk
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Global SCM specialist Hyundai Glovis provided free transportation of over 120 tons of emergency relief supplies to assist in the recovery from large-scale wildfires in Gangwon-do and Gyeongbuk regions.
Hyundai Glovis announced on the 11th that to aid the areas affected by the wildfires that occurred earlier this month, it swiftly transported approximately 52,000 emergency relief items from the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association over 15 trips between the 4th and 9th, following the displacement of residents.
The relief supplies transported by Hyundai Glovis were stored at disaster relief logistics centers in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, and Hamyang, Gyeongnam Province. These included daily necessities, emergency relief kits, shelter partitions, and tents to support evacuees staying in temporary shelters.
Hyundai Glovis has established a relief supply transportation system to respond immediately to various disasters such as fires, floods, and typhoons. This enabled the rapid delivery of relief supplies as soon as the displacement occurred.
Hyundai Glovis plans to promptly dispatch additional relief supplies whenever needed in the affected areas.
A Hyundai Glovis official stated, “We hope to be of some help to the evacuees,” adding, “As a leading domestic logistics company, we will continue to provide necessary support to local communities without hesitation.”
