Korean Re Joins Ukraine Donation "50 Million KRW Donated to World Vision"
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Korean Reinsurance announced on the 10th that it has donated 50 million KRW to the international relief and development nonprofit organization Korea World Vision for emergency relief activities in Ukraine.
World Vision's emergency relief project for Ukraine is a war relief effort centered in Romania, which borders Ukraine, providing essential living kits, psychological first aid and educational programs, refugee shelters, and water sanitation facilities to war refugees.
Andrew Morley, President of World Vision International, personally visited the Romanian border area to meet refugees and requested support and attention from global citizens through Twitter.
Korean Re has been committed to creating shared value (CSV) through various social contribution activities such as improving residential environments in Saetteul villages, helping neighbors in Ihwa-dong, Jongno-gu, overseas emergency disaster relief activities, and supporting development funds for children's centers in Vietnam.
