KakaoBank, Average Annual Salary of 153 Million KRW... Highest Level in Banking Sector

According to KakaoBank's annual report on governance and compensation system on the 9th, the average compensation for executives and employees last year was 153 million KRW.
This nearly doubled from 79 million KRW in 2020, marking the highest level in the banking sector. KB Kookmin Bank's average was 110 million KRW, and Woori Bank's was around 98 million KRW. Shinhan and Hana Banks have not yet disclosed their average salaries.
The number of KakaoBank executives and employees increased by 118, from 913 in 2020 to 1,031.

KakaoBank explained that this result was due to the reflection of stock option exercise gains by executives and employees in March last year.
