Hanhil Hyundai Cement Donates 100 Million KRW for Wildfire Damage Recovery in Yeongwol-gun
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Hanil Hyundai Cement donated 100 million won to Yeongwol County Office to aid in the recovery from the wildfire damage that occurred in the Gangwon region.
The donated funds will be used for emergency recovery in the wildfire-affected areas and for relief activities such as providing emergency supplies to support disaster victims.
Jeon Geun-sik, CEO of Hanil Hyundai Cement, stated, "Gangwon-do is a region closely connected to the cement industry, with many cement factories located here. We decided to donate funds to help the local residents affected by the sudden wildfire, even if only a little." He added, "We will continue to do our best to support the recovery of vulnerable groups and those affected by disasters."

Hanil Hyundai Cement practices shared management through various sponsorships and volunteer activities as a member of the local communities where its cement factories are located, such as Yeongwol and Danyang, including delivering briquettes to elderly living alone and helping with farm work. Until last year, the company also donated a total of 100 million won to help local residents overcome COVID-19.
