Damyang-gun Selected as an Excellent Institution for the 'Local Government Productivity Award'
Awarded the 'Encouragement Prize' in the Productivity Index Measurement Category Hosted by Korea Productivity Center
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Damyang-gun announced on the 7th that it was selected as an excellent institution in the '11th Local Government Productivity Award' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and organized by the Korea Productivity Center.
Since 2011, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety has been encouraging the strengthening of local governments' competitiveness through the 'Local Government Productivity Award,' which evaluates the comprehensive administrative capabilities of basic local governments (cities, counties, districts).
The Local Government Productivity Award is evaluated in two parts: productivity index measurement and selection of excellent productivity cases.
Damyang-gun received a commendation award by achieving excellent evaluations in the health/medical and care/welfare sectors among the productivity index measurement part, in which 171 out of 226 local governments nationwide voluntarily applied.
In particular, it received the highest S grade in seven categories including COVID-19 response capability, expansion level of medical and welfare facilities, and poverty alleviation rate.
