[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, has been selected in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s “Social Economy Public-Private Collaboration System Establishment Project” competition, and will invest 100 million KRW this year to support projects such as building detailed pages for online shopping mall entry of social economy enterprises in the district.
On the 7th, Nam-gu announced, “To lay the foundation for the continuous growth of the social economy, we will actively promote projects related to revitalizing the social economy network, supporting sales channels, education, and consulting.”
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety designated 35 local governments nationwide, including Nam-gu, as target areas for the “Social Economy Public-Private Collaboration System Establishment Project” to support the activation of the social economy in each region.
This initiative aims to strengthen the social economy foundation tailored to local issues by expanding sales channels related to the social economy, as well as supporting logistics, distribution, finance, and talent development in each local government.
Accordingly, Nam-gu plans to devote all efforts to establishing a sustainable social economy ecosystem through public-private collaboration by investing 100 million KRW this year.
First, to address the biggest challenge of social economy enterprises?developing sales channels?about 50 million KRW will be invested to support the production of detailed pages for online shopping mall entry and promotional booklets.
This is because, with the spread of untact culture due to COVID-19, online marketing for products and services has become even more emphasized.
In June, Nam-gu will recruit participating companies among local social economy enterprises for the production of detailed pages for online shopping mall entry, and plans to complete the detailed page production support project by October at the latest. Promotional booklets for social economy enterprises’ products will also be distributed.
Additionally, 40 million KRW will be invested to provide customized education and on-site mentoring aimed at improving the structure and quality of social economy enterprises.
Starting in April, mentoring to improve management conditions of social economy enterprises will be conducted through expert diagnosis in various fields such as finance, accounting, human resources, and labor.
Furthermore, a network involving social economy organizations, related institutions, and experts will be established to enable regular communication, information exchange, and discovery of collaboration models through the construction of a social economy network.
