Both sides condemned North Korea for repeatedly launching ballistic missiles in violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions despite international demands, and agreed to further strengthen close cooperation between South Korea and the U.S. to maintain a seamless combined defense posture and to prevent North Korea from further escalating the situation.
