Under this agreement, Hanmi Pharmaceutical will be responsible for product planning, sales, marketing, and product approval in export countries for a total of three kits developed by PHC: two types of COVID-19 rapid antigen kits (nasopharyngeal, saliva) and one neutralizing antibody kit (blood). PHC will be in charge of stable product manufacturing and supply.
Last month, PHC received approval from the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), which applies strict approval standards, for its saliva rapid antigen diagnostic kit. The sensitivity of this kit is 95.8%, known to be the highest level among rapid antigen diagnostic kits registered in Australia. The two companies plan to promote the U.S. launch of the saliva-based rapid antigen kit as soon as possible.
Choi In-hwan, CEO of PHC, said, “Through Hanmi Pharmaceutical’s global network, we will prove the excellent product competitiveness in the global market and actively promote the global expansion of various in vitro diagnostic products beyond COVID-19 test kits in the future.”
