Fake Checks Worth About 15 Billion Won Discovered at a Seoul Bank... Police Investigation Following Bank Report
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] Police have launched an investigation after counterfeit checks totaling more than 15 billion won were discovered at a bank in Seoul.
On the 3rd, the Bangbae Police Station in Seoul announced that it received a report around 4:20 PM the previous day about counterfeit cashier's checks found at a bank in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, and is currently investigating.
According to the police, the bank recognized the checks as counterfeit following a customer's request to verify the authenticity of checks worth approximately 15.4 billion won and reported it to the police.

A police official stated, "We plan to conduct witness interviews based on the testimony of the reporting bank employee," adding, "No suspects have been identified yet."
