Jangseong Police Station Conducts Campaign to Prevent Children's Traffic Accidents
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] The Jangseong Police Station in Jeonnam announced on the 3rd that it conducted a traffic safety campaign to prevent children's traffic accidents at Jungang Elementary School in the jurisdiction.
The campaign was held with a minimal number of participants including police, school staff, and model driver members due to COVID-19, strictly adhering to quarantine guidelines such as social distancing.
The campaign urged drivers to comply with traffic laws such as observing safe speeds within school zones and prohibiting illegal parking, and promoted the three walking principles to prevent children's pedestrian accidents: stop, look, and walk.
Additionally, an on-site inspection of traffic facilities around the school was conducted to create a safe route to school.
A police official stated, "We will do our best to create a safe traffic environment for children by continuously implementing traffic safety facility improvements and joint campaigns with related organizations to prevent traffic accidents."
