Ceragem announced on the 2nd that it has newly appointed Jo Jeonghyun, CEO of Citrus Design, as the head of the Design Center, and a new joint venture CEO specializing in medical device clinical research.
Jo Jeonghyun, the head of the Design Center, is a veteran who has been in charge of design consulting and overall management for 15 years, having served as Vice President of Tangerine Seoul and CEO of Citrus Design. Tangerine is a UK design company that produced Jonathan Ive, former Apple Chief Design Officer and designer of the iPod, iPhone, and iPad.
Jo has successfully led various total design projects including products, mobility, branding, and spaces for major companies such as SK Telecom, Asiana Airlines, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Samsung Electronics, and Hyundai Motor Company. He has also won numerous global design awards, including the iF Design Award Gold.
Lee Giwon, the designated CEO of the joint venture, has led Ybrain, a healthcare company specializing in neuroscience, for 10 years after working at KAIST and Samsung Electro-Mechanics. As a clinical expert, he has successfully carried out major domestic and international clinical projects. Ybrain has recently stood out in the emerging electronic medicine market and received the world's first marketing authorization for the depression electronic medicine platform ‘Mindsteem’ in April last year. In 2017, it was the only domestic company to participate with Harvard Medical School and others in publishing international safety guidelines for brain stimulation electronic medicine.
Through the recruitment of experts in design and clinical research, Ceragem plans to actively implement ‘design management’ that considers the latest trends such as ‘Health+Interior (Healthterior)’ and further differentiate its products and services by strengthening key clinical research.
