"Fully Bloomed Roses and Love Letters" InterContinental Presents White Day Cake
Two Types Including Blooming Rose Cake with 2.5 Times Higher Sales Than Last Year
10,000 Roses Decorate Lobby 'Large Rose Wall', Club Lounge Photo Zone Also Available
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas and InterContinental Seoul COEX announced on the 2nd that they will offer two limited-edition cakes under the theme "Romantic InterContinental" for White Day on March 14, along with a large Rose Wall decorated with 10,000 roses.
The "Blooming Rose Chiffon Cake," which was introduced on Valentine's Day and recorded sales 2.5 times higher than the previous year, will also be available this White Day. The hotel expects high popularity this time as well, noting that traditionally White Day sees higher cake sales than Valentine's Day.
The White Day cakes, available from the 7th to the 14th at the Grand Deli and InterContinental Seoul COEX Lobby Lounge, come in two varieties. The "Amor Rouge Cake," meaning red love, is a strawberry sand fresh cream cake topped with fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, and roses, wrapped in red-colored strawberry chocolate. The hotel said, "Shaped like a gift box containing a love letter, it is perfect for expressing your feelings to your loved one."
The "Blooming Rose Chiffon Cake" features a fully bloomed rose and rose petals scattered by the wind on top of the cake. Fresh cream and fresh strawberries are layered between the chiffon, finished with pink fresh cream made from strawberry pur?e and vanilla bean cream.
