DB Insurance-KISA 'Insurtech Startup' Recruitment
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] DB Insurance announced on the 2nd that it is recruiting startups to participate in the 'Insurtech Startup Incubation Program 3rd Cohort' in collaboration with the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) until the 22nd.
Since 2020, DB Insurance and KISA have jointly operated the Insurtech Startup Incubation Program to help innovative startups enter the insurance business.
Over the past two years, they have selected 10 startups and supported new product launches, new technology verification, and business pivoting.
In 2022, DB Insurance and KISA plan to discover and support promising startups based on the insurance business.
For the 3rd cohort, startups providing automobile-related service platforms such as electric vehicles or rental cars, non-face-to-face compensation services such as consultation or claims, and startups selling insurance products and services using alternative data are being recruited. Additionally, any startup with innovative technology and services that can be integrated with insurance is eligible to apply.
Startups selected for the 3rd cohort will receive mentoring from insurance business and service experts, professional coaching on insurtech business strategy development and IR pitching, opportunities to participate in startup IR pitching, preferential benefits when applying for credit guarantees from the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, and opportunities to attract investment through professional investment institutions. If selected for commercialization, joint commercialization opportunities with DB Insurance will also be provided.

Companies wishing to participate in the 3rd cohort program can apply through the Korea Internet & Security Agency website, and up to five startups will be selected through document screening and presentation evaluation.
