Expanding One-Stop Support for Career, Employment, and Entrepreneurship
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Pukyong National University has been selected as the priority negotiation university for the 2022 University Job Plus Center.
The University Job Plus Center project, led by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, is a program that establishes and supports centers within universities to provide employment support services such as counseling, special lectures, and mentoring for university students and youth.
Pukyong National University was selected for the predecessor project, the University Job Center project, in 2018 and has been operating the center since then. With this recent selection, the university will receive 300 million KRW in support from the Ministry of Employment and Labor and local governments until February 2023.
Accordingly, under the leadership of the University Job Plus Center, Pukyong National University will focus on building a one-stop career and employment support infrastructure, including ▲support for youth career exploration and employment counseling ▲provision of employment consulting and job matching services ▲enhancement of youth policy awareness ▲and provision of employment support services based on regional youth employment governance.
In particular, the target of support, which was previously centered on current students, will be significantly expanded to provide employment support services not only to current students but also to youth within two years after graduation and local youth.
