Incheon Namdong-gu Promotes Career-Type Job Project for Shinjoongnyeon
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Namdong-gu, Incheon announced on the 25th that it will promote the 'Shinjungnyeon Job Project' to support the reemployment of retired professionals.
Shinjungnyeon refers to the generation that, instead of taking care of grandchildren at home or enjoying hobbies after retirement, engages in reemployment jobs and other economic activities at the center of economic activity.
Namdong-gu is investing about 200 million KRW, including national funds, this year to promote a career-type job project to support the increased economic activities of Shinjungnyeon due to the impact of COVID-19.
First, the 'Visiting Industrial Safety and Health Consulting Support Project,' which is being implemented again this year following last year, hires Shinjungnyeon who have know-how with various practical experiences in the relevant field.
They provide consulting to safety-vulnerable small businesses and newly established business owner companies, and especially add the Serious Accident Punishment Act, which was enacted in January, to the educational content to enhance business owners' safety awareness and prevent industrial safety accidents.
Since 2019, the 'Social Economy Startup Support Project' has comprehensively supported newly established companies preparing to start or operating social enterprises with all necessary aspects of social enterprise management.
It is expected to help open sales channels by providing customized management support to small social enterprises or startup companies that have difficulty hiring professional personnel.
Additionally, this year, the district is conducting the 'District Library Revitalization Support Project' for the first time, hiring professionals for district libraries and small libraries to provide high-quality lifelong education services through increased library users and improved reading rates among residents.
