Sinan-gun '1004 Island' Brand Contributes to Increasing Residents' Income
Enhancing Brand Image by Supporting Distribution and Processing of Agricultural and Marine Product Packaging Materials
[Sinan = Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Jeonnam Sinan-gun announced that the use of the ‘1004 Islands’ logo (CI) has contributed to enhancing the county’s brand and image.
Since filing a trademark application for the ‘1004 Islands’ brand with the Korean Intellectual Property Office in 2013, the county has continuously used it, and recently, the United Nations World Tourism Organization selected Purple Island as the world’s best tourism village, significantly raising its status.
The ‘1004 Islands’ logo is a unique symbol mark that is the only one among local governments nationwide to embody numbers. It expresses the geographical characteristic of being composed of approximately 1,004 islands and contains a progressive and enterprising will to advance toward a prosperous future.
In addition to local specialties such as solar salt, seaweed, and shrimp, which have firmly established themselves as representative regional brands, the ‘1004 Islands’ logo is applied to various packaging boxes.
For inventory boxes, to provide a unified image, ‘1004 Islands’ stickers are attached over previously used logos.
A Sinan-gun official stated, “We will support the distribution and processing of agricultural and marine product packaging materials to enhance the Angel Island brand image and strive to increase the income of farmers and fishermen.”
