View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] On the morning of the 24th, the Blue House held an emergency National Security Council (NSC) situation review meeting chaired by Suh Hoon, Director of the National Security Office, with vice ministers from related ministries attending to discuss the rapidly changing situation in Ukraine and the ongoing related measures.
The attendees expressed serious concerns over Russia's rapidly progressing military actions against Ukraine and reviewed the related developments.
Under a 24-hour emergency system, they re-examined safety measures to protect Korean citizens and businesses, and decided to implement more agile measures such as evacuation and departure support in case of emergencies, safety notifications and withdrawal encouragement for remaining overseas Koreans, and operation of dedicated trade, investment, and supply chain support channels.
