On the 23rd, Bodyfriend released an interview video with Kim Arang, the women's short track national team member, as the first series of 'Bodyfriend X National Athletes' on their official YouTube channel. In the video, Kim expressed gratitude to her family who encouraged her for her third Olympic participation. She also recommended the Bodyfriend 'The Phantom,' equipped with various massage programs, as a perfect gift for parents.
Kim Arang is a leading star in Korean women's short track. She won gold medals in the relay at both the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, and added a silver medal in the relay at this Beijing Winter Olympics, earning Olympic medals three times in a row. She is the first athlete in Korean short track history to win medals in three consecutive Olympic Games. Globally, she is the only athlete to have won two gold medals and one silver medal in the women's Olympic relay.
In the interview, Kim shared that she suffered frequent injuries after the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, and thanks to her family's support, she was able to compete in the Beijing Winter Olympics. She expressed her gratitude to her parents through the Bodyfriend massage chair. She said, "I recently gifted Bodyfriend to my parents. Since I often left home for training or competitions from a young age, I have no memory of properly massaging my parents with my own hands, so I hope Bodyfriend can do a good job for me."
The Phantom, chosen by Kim Arang, is a product equipped with 39 massage programs that can be selected according to various environments and lifestyles, including 'healthcare massage' and 'brain & mental massage.' It features a 'lower body automatic mode' that focuses on massaging the waist and legs, which tend to get tired after exercise. It also supports a 'neck & shoulder mode' that provides kneading massage to concentrate on relieving fatigue in the neck and shoulder areas.
A 'stretching program' that loosens the body and balances overall muscles is also applied. The massage mainly involves tapping and kneading, with the legs and upper body moving at different angles while lying down completely, providing a refreshing stretch to the limbs. Additionally, the 'brain massage' includes healing music combined with massage and binaural beats (a third sound perceived by the brain when two different frequencies are played in each ear), helping to achieve deep relaxation.
