Boseong-gun Successfully Concludes New Year Practical Training for Farmers
The First Step for Annual Farm Planning
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 23rd that it successfully completed the New Year Practical Education for Farmers.
The New Year Practical Education for Farmers, conducted from the 13th to the 18th of last month, was carried out through a combination of non-face-to-face online education using internet platforms (Naver Band, YouTube) and written education due to the COVID-19 situation, with 5,174 farmers in the area participating.
The courses included new programs on Boseong-gun's specialized crops such as tomatoes, strawberries, kiwis, and Korean beef, focusing on last year's farming evaluations and new farming technologies for major crops, including rice farming affected by abnormal weather, chili pepper cultivation, potato virus prevention techniques, and eco-friendly livestock farming.
In particular, there was great enthusiasm among farmers for education on scientific farming facilities such as smart agriculture.
Mr. Park, who attended the education, said, “I was satisfied because I could repeatedly watch videos on farming techniques that were usually problematic, and it was good to be able to take various courses comfortably at home.”
