[Scone Exploration] Enjoy the Innocence-Filled Paris Baguette?
Visited Paris Baguette's Adorably Designed Popup Store with Full Intent ♥
The Paris Baguette popup store held at ‘Object Seogyo Branch’ located in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The theme was ‘When Paris Baguette makes it, the quality, taste, and cuteness of desserts are on a different level.’ Drawn by the introduction that this space perfectly showcases Paris Baguette’s dessert direction, we headed there. They say they recreated the imaginary dessert land from the commercial video offline exactly as it is…! How was this space dyed pink by Object?
As soon as you enter, a big teddy bear welcomes you. (with Paris Baguette staff hat) The macarons, cakes, chocolates, and candies we usually enjoy are on a whole different level of cuteness when made by Paris Baguette (Paba).
It didn’t take long to look around the entire store. It was about the size where you could finish exploring and take a certification photo in roughly 10 minutes.
First, eight types of macarons that upgraded both taste and quality catch the eye. The macaron shells are made with almond flour, and they added a rich and smooth flavor with premium French butter. I wanted to taste them on-site, but the variety of desserts available for purchase was quite limited.
The macarons in the photos and The Square (cube-shaped cakes) all had signs directing customers to purchase them at nearby Paris Baguette stores, and only madeleines, beautifully packaged chocolates, and a few whole cakes were available for purchase. “I wanted to say ‘Give me everything from here to here’... (sadness)
However, the guidance on exactly which stores carry these products or where the nearest Paris Baguette stores are was somewhat lacking. I visited a nearby store hoping to buy The Square product but was disappointed to be told they didn’t carry it.
Leaving the disappointment in my heart, I took a closer look inside and found that they truly recreated the process of macarons coming out of a factory.
Since it was said that it likes being photographed, I quickly took a picture of Pabacom 'Miss Bear'.

Among the two types of Paba bears available for purchase, I recommend the yellowish butter bear! The moment you open the packaging, you’re surprised by the rich butter aroma. Also, the texture, which seems to be a perfect blend of soft chiffon cake and madeleine, was pleasing. The chocolate bear could use a bit more chocolate coating.
◈ Overall Review
This is definitely a popup store where Paris Baguette proudly showcases its dessert visuals. However, the limited availability of products for purchase was quite disappointing. If a similar popup store opens again, it would be great to coordinate with nearby stores. That way, the increased desire to buy from the popup could be immediately fulfilled, making the event more memorable. The popup store is open until the 27th on the first floor of Object Seogyo Branch.
