KT Successfully Holds 'Corporate Day'... Strengthening Communication with Investors
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] KT announced on the 16th that it held the ‘2022 KT Corporate Day’ at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel in Songpa-gu, Seoul, with more than 50 institutional investors and domestic and international analysts in attendance.
KT holds Corporate Day to strengthen communication with investors and the capital market, and this year, considering the spread of COVID-19 and quarantine guidelines, the event was conducted both online and offline simultaneously.
The event was attended by key executives including CEO Koo Hyun-mo, who presented KT’s vision and strategy for its major businesses and answered questions from institutional investors and analysts.
At the event, CEO Koo Hyun-mo explained the changes over the past two years and KT’s future outlook. While KT was previously focused on telecommunications, it emphasized that KT’s future will be in Digico businesses such as media/content, finance, and artificial intelligence (AI)/digital transformation (DX). Digico refers to a digital platform company that leads changes in customers’ lives and innovation in other industries based on AI, big data, and cloud.
KT CEO Koo Hyun-mo said, “Through this Corporate Day event, we were able to communicate with the market about KT’s transformation and growth into a Digico,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen communication with the market and do our best to enhance shareholder value and corporate value.”
