Recruitment of Organizations to Participate in Gwangju Seo-gu 'Lifelong Learning Support Project'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 16th that it will publicly recruit lifelong education institutions, organizations, or learning clubs to participate in the 2022 ‘Lifelong Learning Program Support Project’ and ‘Humanities City Infrastructure Construction Project.’

Through this project, Seo-gu plans to foster a resident-led open lifelong learning culture, operate programs for educationally marginalized groups such as multicultural families, and separately promote support for educational organizations with humanities themes to build a humanities city infrastructure.

The support scale includes up to 1 million KRW for each of 10 clubs under the Lifelong Learning Program Support Project, and 10 million KRW for one institution for the multicultural women foreign language instructor training course.

The Humanities City Infrastructure Construction Project will support up to 5 million KRW for each of 6 institutions, with a total project budget of 50 million KRW.

The eligible applicants are institutions (organizations) conducting humanities education, lifelong education institutions (organizations) located in Seo-gu, and lifelong learning clubs active in Seo-gu.

Seo-gu plans to prioritize selecting organizations capable of operating both face-to-face and non-face-to-face learning in response to the spread of COVID-19.

Applications can be submitted by visiting the Education Library Division of Seo-gu Office or by mail from the 21st of this month until the 3rd of next month.

A Seo-gu official said, “Through this project, we plan to solicit excellent lifelong learning programs and clubs to provide various learning opportunities to residents,” and added, “We hope for active participation from interested institutions, organizations, and clubs.”
