Boseong-gun Promotes Smart Factory Distribution and Expansion Project
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] On the 15th, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will promote the ‘2022 Smart Factory Distribution and Expansion Project’ to enhance the competitiveness and productivity of local companies through automation of manufacturing processes.
The Smart Factory Distribution and Expansion Project is a program that supports the purchase of smart factory solutions applying advanced technologies such as IoT for product design and production process improvement, as well as automation equipment, controllers, and sensors linked with the solutions. Depending on the support type, it is divided into basic (same level) and advanced.
This year, Boseong-gun plans to invest a total project cost of 680 million KRW (national subsidy 340, provincial subsidy 102, county subsidy 102, self-payment 136) to support three companies, including two basic and one advanced.
The smart factory project is conducted under the consignment of the Jeonnam Technopark Foundation. The first application period was from last month 17th to the 22nd, and the second application period will be from June 1st to 30th.
Applications are accepted online through Smart Factory 1st Street.

A Boseong-gun official said, “The Smart Factory Distribution and Expansion Project is expected to greatly contribute to improving labor productivity and creating jobs through the improvement of manufacturing processes in companies,” and added, “We hope local companies actively participate in the smart factory project.”

Meanwhile, last year, Boseong-gun selected a total of three companies through the Smart Factory Distribution and Expansion Project, including two basic and one advanced, and is currently building the system after signing agreements.
