President Moon exchanges letters commemorating the 60th anniversary of Korea-Argentina diplomatic relations
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] On the 15th, President Moon Jae-in exchanged congratulatory letters with Argentine President Alberto Fernandez to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Argentina.
In his letter, President Moon evaluated that Korea and Argentina have reached a "comprehensive cooperative partnership" and expressed hope that the bilateral relationship would take a further leap forward on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties this year.
President Fernandez highly appreciated the Korean community's contribution to Argentina's development while maintaining their unique culture and traditions since the first Korean immigration to Argentina in 1965. He also expressed hope for continued joint cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including science and technology, resource development such as lithium, hydrogen production, and Antarctic cooperation.
