Sejong-si, Additional Recruitment of Prospective Tenants for Youth Purchase Rental Housing
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City is recruiting additional prospective tenants for youth purchase rental housing.
According to the city on the 15th, youth purchase rental housing refers to multi-family houses near universities that are purchased and supplied to low-income youth at 30% to 50% of the market rent, depending on their income level.
The additional recruitment number is 24, and applications will begin on the 18th of this month.
Previously, the city prepared one building each near Hongik University Sejong Campus, Korea University Sejong Campus, and Korea National University of Arts, providing a total of 46 housing units.
The additional recruitment is being conducted to find prospective tenants for vacancies caused by uncontracted units and move-outs in these houses.
Eligibility includes youth aged 19 to 39, such as university students and job seekers, and the contract period is two years. However, residents can live for up to six years if they maintain eligibility.
Tenants are selected after qualification verification including income and assets, and move-in is carried out sequentially according to the order of application when vacancies occur.
