"Must Resolve Diplomatically" UN Secretary-General Talks with Russian and Ukrainian Foreign Ministers Amid Invasion Concerns
[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Joselgina] Amid rising concerns over Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Ant?nio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), held separate talks with the foreign ministers of Russia and Ukraine on the 14th (local time), urging a diplomatic resolution.
Secretary-General Guterres expressed deep concern that "speculation about a potential military conflict in Europe is rampant and tensions are escalating" during the afternoon at the UN headquarters in New York, USA. On the same day, he held a video conference with Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister, and also spoke with Dmytro Kuleba, Ukrainian Foreign Minister.
