CU Starts Selling COVID Self-Test Kits at All Stores from This Morning
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jin-young] CU will complete the bulk supply of COVID-19 self-diagnostic kits to convenience stores by the morning of the 15th and begin sales. Currently, CU has secured approximately 1 million units.
On the morning of the 15th, CU plans to prioritize the first supply of self-diagnostic kits to about 15,800 stores nationwide. Each store will receive one box, and delivery times vary by region, but special dispatch arrangements will ensure rapid delivery within the morning.
The product, Rapigen, will be delivered to stores in large boxes containing 20 units and then sold individually after repackaging. During weekdays, Humasis products will also be added, and supply quantities are expected to increase further in accordance with government management policies.
Both products are priced at 6,000 KRW each, and the purchase quantity is limited to five units per person per transaction. The sales locations and stock levels of the self-diagnostic kits can be checked in real-time through CU’s membership app, Pocket CU, using the product search function.
