[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in instructed that the COVID-19 Omicron variant response plan should gain the trust of the public and directed efforts to find ways to alleviate the testing cost burden for caregivers and guardians.
At the conclusion of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters meeting on the 7th, President Moon said, "Ensure that the Omicron response plan announced today is implemented smoothly and firmly on the ground so that it can gain the trust of the people."
In the subsequent staff meeting, he instructed, "Seek measures to ease the testing cost burden and inconvenience for caregivers and guardians arising from the reorganization of the testing system."
He also mentioned that people with disabilities face double difficulties during social distancing and urged, "Widely inform that caregivers for people with disabilities are exempt from personnel restrictions so that people with disabilities do not experience inconvenience."
