Choi Jae-hyo Appointed as New Head of Bank of Korea Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Choi Jae-hyo, former Deputy Director of the Planning and Cooperation Bureau, has been appointed as the head of the Bank of Korea Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters.
Director Choi graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Korea University and a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He joined the Bank of Korea in 1996 and has worked in departments including the Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters, Financial Markets Bureau, Monetary Policy Bureau, Human Resources Management Bureau, and the New York Office.
He is recognized for possessing extensive experience and broad knowledge in monetary policy, financial markets, and management, as well as excellent execution skills and rational thinking.
In particular, as the head of the Financial Planning Team in the Monetary Policy Bureau, he actively promoted the expansion of the Bank of Korea's financial support to overcome the damages caused by COVID-19.
