Gwangju Buk-gu Promotes 'Old House Repair Support Project' Within Urban Regeneration New Deal Area
Recruiting 45 Houses Over 20 Years Old... Up to 10 Million KRW Repair Support for Gates, Fences, Roofs, etc.
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced on the 3rd that it will promote the ‘Old House Repair Support Project’ targeting houses over 20 years old in the Imdong area, which is part of the Urban Regeneration New Deal project zone.
This project is one of the Imdong Urban Regeneration New Deal projects, with a budget of 450 million KRW invested for 45 households.
The support target is homeowners who can bear 10% of the construction cost, and up to 10 million KRW per household will be supported for repairs aimed at improving the external landscape such as gates, fences, railings, rooftops, and roofs.
Applications for support can be submitted to the Buk-gu Office Urban Regeneration Division or the Imdong Urban Regeneration Field Support Center (inside Imdong Administrative Welfare Center) by the 11th.
Director Moon In said, “We will continue to carry out urban regeneration projects, including support for old house repairs, without delay to improve the quality of life for residents.”
Meanwhile, Buk-gu has been promoting the Imdong Urban Regeneration New Deal project, with a total investment of 8 billion KRW from 2020 to this year, focusing on improving residential environments such as the creation of the Beodeuri Eoullim Center, maintenance of old roads (sidewalks), installation of security CCTV, and old house repairs.
