Com2uS 'Summoners War' Launches on US Cloud Gaming Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Com2uS announced on the 3rd that its mobile game, Summoners War: Sky Arena (hereinafter Summoners War), will start cloud gaming services in the United States through Facebook Gaming.
Released in 2014, Summoners War has consistently gained great popularity not only in Asia including Korea but also in regions such as North America and Europe, maintaining a strong user base worldwide. It has hosted Korea's first global mobile eSports tournament for five consecutive years and has achieved 130 million cumulative downloads and ranked first in sales in 90 countries and regions.
Com2uS plans to expand Facebook Gaming's cloud gaming service and diversify platforms so that more users can enjoy Summoners War. Through this, the company will newly enter the cloud gaming market accessible not only on mobile but also on PC, and expand its service target to Facebook users worldwide.
In particular, the United States, where this cloud gaming service will be launched, is one of the world's largest gaming markets and the region with the highest concentration of Summoners War global users. Com2uS plans to further strengthen the Summoners War brand in the U.S. and actively target this market through this service.
Facebook Gaming is Meta's gaming platform. Launched as a cloud gaming platform in October 2020, it allows users to play games immediately without a separate installation process. It is currently available throughout the United States and plans to expand to Western and Central Europe within this year.
