Full cost support for vulnerable groups such as basic livelihood security recipients and elderly living alone
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong-gun is promoting the ‘2022 Slate Disposal and Roof Improvement Support Project’ to protect residents' health from asbestos emitted by old slate.
On the 30th, the county announced that it will invest 1.29 billion KRW in project funds to support the disposal of a total of 321 slate buildings.
The support targets are residential and non-residential (livestock barns, warehouses) buildings using slate as roofing or wall materials.
The support amount per household is up to 3.52 million KRW for houses, and for non-residential buildings, demolition and disposal costs are supported within a limit of 200㎡.
However, vulnerable groups such as basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income classes, and elderly living alone will receive full cost support.
Residents wishing to apply for the project can visit the township or town office where the slate building is located from the 30th of this month until February 25th of next year.
