On the second day of his visit to TK, Candidate Yoon pledged at the launch ceremony of the election campaign committee to promote the construction of an integrated new airport for Daegu and Gyeongbuk. He also promised the construction of the Dalbit Inland Railroad connecting Daegu and Gwangju and the establishment of the 'Daegu-Gyeongbuk Economic Science Research Institute.' Furthermore, he plans to focus support on Daegu's industrial structure innovation, including medical, future automobile parts, water, energy, robotics, and ICT convergence industries. He intends to transform the former textile and dyeing industrial complex into a high-tech industrial complex and turn the upper section of the Gyeongbu Line's underground section in downtown Daegu into a new tourist attraction. Additionally, he said he would resolve drinking water insecurity by diversifying water intake sources in the Nakdong River basin.
