Senior Researcher Seo Hee-seon Awarded ADD Person of the Year
[The Asia Business Daily, Military Affairs Correspondent Yang Nakgyu] Seo Heeseon, a senior researcher at the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) and an expert in underwater acoustic detection device 'Sonar' development, has been selected as the recipient of the 'ADD Person of the Year' award.
Senior Researcher Seo joined ADD in 1991 and has consistently developed underwater acoustic sensor technology, successfully developing 10 sonar systems, establishing himself as a sonar expert. Sonar is a device that emits ultrasonic waves and detects underwater obstacles or seabed conditions through the reflected waves, serving as a core weapon system for the navy. Senior Researcher Seo holds 46 intellectual property rights, including 29 patents, and has published 206 academic papers.
