Gwangju Jeonnam Small and Medium Business Administration Supports Export Acceleration through Overseas Standard Certification Assistance
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration (Director Jang Daegyo) announced that it is recruiting companies to participate in the ‘2022 1st Overseas Certification Acquisition Support Project’ that supports costs required to obtain overseas standard certifications necessary for export until January 21, 2022 (Friday).
The Overseas Certification Acquisition Support Project is a program that supports part of the costs (50% ~ 70%) such as certification fees, testing fees, and consulting fees required for overseas certifications demanded by export target countries. Eligible applicants are small and medium enterprises with direct export amounts of less than 50 million USD in the previous year. It supports up to 4 certifications per company and within an annual limit of 100 million KRW for about 481 overseas certifications including European CE, US FDA, and China CCC.
Small and medium enterprises wishing to participate in the project can apply online through the Small and Medium Enterprise Export Support Center website by January 21 of next year.
Lee Moon-beom, team leader of the Export Support Center, said, “As of November this year, small and medium enterprise export amounts exceeded 105.2 billion USD (2018), achieving the highest record ever,” and added, “We plan to do our best to support so that exports of regional small and medium export companies can accelerate further through the overseas certification project.”

Meanwhile, the Gwangju-Jeonnam Small and Medium Business Administration selected 29 small and medium enterprises through the 1st to 3rd projects this year and supported a total of 1.105 billion KRW in certification acquisition costs.
