Online Discount Sales of Traditional Market Products Until the End of January, Live Online Event Broadcasting Market News
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 28th that it will run the traditional market product live commerce event "Our Market Pride Contest" and "Market ON," which visits traditional markets to introduce fun news and various products through live broadcasts, until the end of January.
On the 29th of this month and the 24th of next month, the live commerce event "Our Market Pride Contest," where professional show hosts and market representative merchants directly introduce and sell traditional market products, will be held twice on 11st Live 11 (LIVE11). At 11 a.m. on the 29th, representative products from Bongcheon Jeil Market (Gwanak-gu) such as ▲Sesame Oil + Perilla Oil Set ▲Misugaru (grain powder) ▲Black Sunshik ▲Oat Flakes and from Gyeongdong Market such as ▲Red Ginseng Concentrate ▲Red Ginseng Stick ▲Red Ginseng Slices will be bundled into packages and sold with an average flash discount of 10% for one hour.
For citizens who find it difficult to visit traditional markets due to COVID-19, the "Market ON" live broadcast will visit traditional markets directly to carefully and entertainingly introduce various information, stories, and benefits. Starting with six markets this month, the relay will continue across a total of 17 markets until next month.
"Market ON" sets up a studio in each market merchants' association office, where merchants directly introduce representative food, health products, and attractions of the market, share discount event news, and even reveal secret recipes of popular eateries. The broadcast will be live-streamed on YouTube for a total of three hours.
To encourage citizens' interest and participation, up to 30% discount benefits will be given upon certification of broadcast participation, and a separate booth set up outside during the live broadcast will provide eco bags as prizes to citizens who certify their participation.
