Cowintech, Large-Scale Order Contract...Order Amount and Client Remain 'Unknown'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Jeong-su] Cowintech, a leading company in secondary battery automation systems, announced on the 27th that it has signed a large-scale order contract with a global major company.
Cowintech stated that the order amount this time is equivalent to 20-30% of last year's consolidated sales. Considering that last year's consolidated sales were 45.4 billion KRW, this means the order amount is approximately 9 billion to 13.6 billion KRW. However, the company did not disclose specific details about the order amount and the client to protect business confidentiality.
According to Cowintech, the company has achieved order performance of around 120 billion KRW this year. As demand for smart automation equipment steadily increases in secondary batteries and various industrial sectors, the company has signed consecutive order contracts with global major companies since the second half of the year.
A Cowintech representative said, "From the early stages of the secondary battery automation market, we have built automation systems for the pre- and post-processes of domestic battery companies, accumulating specialized automation technology and references for secondary battery processes. Through discovering new global battery clients, we are expanding our global market share, and we expect continuous growth in orders and sales scale in the future."
