Busan City Encourages Use of Remaining Balances to Revive Sluggish Economy... Automatically Expires After December 31 This Year

Busan City reiterated that the usage period for the ‘COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund,’ which has been distributed since September 6, will end on December 31. Any unused amount will be forfeited.
This National Support Fund is a program that provides 250,000 KRW per individual to households in the bottom 80% income bracket who have experienced income reduction due to COVID-19.
As of the 27th, out of approximately 2,893,000 eligible recipients in the Busan area, about 2,881,000 have received the fund, resulting in a disbursement rate of 99.6%.
The usage deadline for the National Support Fund is December 31 of this year. To check the remaining balance by payment method: ▲ Credit and debit card holders can check via the respective card company’s website, app, or ARS. ▲ Dongbaekjeon balances can be checked through the Dongbaekjeon app or ARS. ▲ Prepaid card balances can be verified on the BC Card website, app, or ARS.
The places where the fund can be used are the same as Dongbaekjeon affiliated stores, and usage is restricted in industries related to gambling, non-SMEs, and sectors excluded by Busan City ordinances.
