LG Electronics recently conducted online education related to ESG for about 220 partner companies. The partner safety management training, which has been conducted annually since 2017, expanded its scope this year to cover all ESG areas by adding labor, health, environment, and ethics fields, and also included the importance of ESG and ways to practice it in the training curriculum.
LG Electronics explained that through this training, it expects the ESG capabilities of its partners to improve and help them independently inspect and implement ESG practices.
In addition, considering the increased risk of fire during winter, LG Electronics conducted special inspections to prevent winter fire and safety accidents for about 60 partners who frequently use heating devices such as heaters.
Since last year, LG Electronics has been supporting safety inspections for about 40 partners operating industrial robots. Various safety inspection items such as robot process safety devices, emergency stop systems, and self-inspection processes are created and implemented. They also shared a self-developed robot equipment safety management guideline to help partners thoroughly manage the safety of industrial robots.
Furthermore, since 2015, LG Electronics has been conducting regular inspections twice a year for about 250 partners who have production processes and equipment judged to have a high potential risk of fire or safety accidents.
