Gangnam-gu Expands 'Safe Accommodation' for Families Under Home Treatment
Up to 79% Discount... Alleviating Inconvenience from Secondary Infection Prevention and Cohort Isolation
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) will operate a "Safe Accommodation" for families of COVID-19 home treatment patients starting from the 20th.
The district, following the government's special quarantine measures that prioritize home treatment as the basic principle, has prepared accommodations with the cooperation of six hotels in the area to prevent secondary infections and alleviate inconveniences caused by co-quarantine.
Families undergoing home treatment who have completed vaccination and received a negative PCR test result can use the service. By contacting the accommodation after receiving guidance from the public health center, they can book rooms at up to 79% discounted rates compared to the regular price. They must present the public health center's notification message confirming eligibility and a photo of the quarantine notice at the Safe Accommodation.
Jeong Soon-gyun, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, stated, "We have designated Gangnam Bedro Hospital and Hana ENT Clinic as partner institutions to care for confirmed patients undergoing home treatment," adding, "Gangnam-gu, which was the first in the nation to introduce the Smart Infectious Disease Management Center and QR code system, will continue to remain vigilant and do its best until the COVID-19 situation is resolved."
