View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) has added an unmanned reservation lending and return machine for U-Library books at Seoul Seongbuk Media Culture Maru (20 Gireum-ro 7-gil, Seongbuk-gu) and will operate it from the 28th.
Seongbuk-gu has established a total of 14 U-Library unmanned reservation lending systems, starting in 2012 with Seongbuk-gu Office, Seongsin Women's University Station, and Wolgok Station, up to this Seoul Seongbuk Media Culture Maru, to create an environment where people can easily read books anytime and anywhere. This is the largest number among the 25 autonomous districts of Seoul.
The U-Library is a system where residents can borrow and return necessary books through devices at subway stations during commuting hours. Through the Seongbuk-gu Integrated Library website or the Seongbuk U-Library mobile app, users can reserve books available for lending held by Seongbuk-gu public libraries (15 branches) and borrow them from the unmanned reservation lending and return machine they want to visit.
When the reserved book arrives at the reservation lending machine, the applicant is notified of the lending date via text message, and the applicant can pick up the book at the corresponding unmanned reservation lending machine after confirming it. Anyone who holds a membership card as an external lending member of Seongbuk-gu public libraries can use the service. If you do not have a membership card, you can easily join through the ‘Seoul Citizen Card’ app and use the service.
Through the unmanned reservation lending service, up to 2 books per person can be borrowed for a maximum of 14 days. It can be extended once for 7 days through the Seongbuk-gu Integrated Library website and mobile app. However, if you exceed the lending limit (5 books per person) or have overdue books, you cannot use the service.
For more detailed information such as location and usage hours, you can also check the Seongbuk-gu Integrated Library website or contact the Seongbuk Information Library by phone.
